Meet the Makers
Once you get to know the incredible makers we are profiling in this first season of tasteMAKERS, join us for Meet the Makers. We will be hosting these immersive events in nine cities across the country.
Meet the Makers is a live event series featuring local makers, farmers and chefs with interviews, cooking demos and tastings, interspersed with segments from the series. After the live show, a tasting event featuring local producers and chefs will offer sips and samples so you can meet the makers and get a taste of what they're creating.
The nine-city event series kicks off in Houston this November!

Meet the makers we profiled in our Houston-based episode, including Kathleen Morgan of Honeychild's Sweet Creams, Victoria Dearmond of Underbelly Hospitality, Cath Conlon of Blackwood Educational Land Institute and Craig Miller from Mill-King Market and Creamery as well as Daniella Lewis and master farmer Constant from Plant It Forward Farms. A tasting experience and our Makers Market will follow the live show, featuring food and drink from Houston chefs, makers and producers.
Sawyer Yards is a 55+ acre creative community thriving in the heart of Houston's historic First Ward, surrounded by an active rail yard where trains change the landscape each day. Home to one of the largest working artist communities in the country, Sawyer Yards has over 300 artists and 60 creative businesses within it's boundaries. Silver Street Studios is just one of the art and event complexes within Sawyer Yards, with over 80 artists and creative entrepreneurs. Previously home to Silver Eagle Distribution, Silver Street Studios features a 20,000-SF venue space, which has hosted some of the most exciting festivals, markets, and local as well as international events in Houston.
