Recipe: Grains Galore Grilled Cheese

This cheese-lover’s sandwich featuring Green Dirt Farm’s Fresh Nettle cheese is available at Farm to Market’s new cafe in Kansas City’s Parlor Food Hall.

| Ingredients |

  • 2 slices Farm to Market Bread Co. Grains Galore

  • 2 oz Green Dirt Farm Fresh Nettle Cheese

  • 2 slices provolone cheese

  • 2 slices Swiss cheese

  • 1 oz grated Parmesan cheese

  • 3 Tbsp butter

| Preparation | Butter the outside of both slices of bread. Place on slice of bread butter-side down on a hot pan, layer the Fresh Nettle, provolone and Swiss cheeses, then top with the other bread, butter side up. Cook for a few minutes on each side until the bread has toasted and the cheese has melted.

In a separate pan, prepare a Parmesan crust by melting the Parmesan in butter until golden brown. Place the sandwich in the middle of the Parmesan crust, then flip it out onto a plate so that the crust is on the top of the sandwich. Serve hot.
