Agricole rum is the grassy, funky cousin of rum made with molasses

Rather than being made with molasses, which is the by-product of the process of refining sugar, agricole rum is made with sugarcane juice. The cane is pressed, releasing its natural juices and that juice is fermented and then distilled, a lot like making wine. The flavor is entirely different from molasses-based rum. Agricole rum is grassy, funky and earthy.
